Screening for Plagiarism

DARAS: Journal of Education and Learning is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin or x plagiarism checker before being sent to reviewers for the double-blind peer review process.

Manuscripts with a similarity index of more than 30 % will be returned to the authors for revision or may be rejected at the discretion of the editor. Self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, and redundant publication are also considered unacceptable practices.

If plagiarism is detected at any stage — before or after publication — the following actions may be taken:

  • The manuscript will be immediately rejected or retracted.
  • The authors will be notified formally.
  • The authors’ institutions or funding agencies may be informed.
  • The authors may be banned from submitting future manuscripts to the journal for a defined period.

Authors are strongly advised to ensure the originality of their work and to properly cite all sources used in their manuscripts following APA 7th edition citation style. The use of reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is highly recommended.

This policy is in accordance with the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). For more information, please visit https://publicationethics.org.
